The Falls Festival Marion Bay | Hobart Documentary Photographer
A review of The Falls Festival, Marion Bay by Photography with Cassie
So many incredible moments weaving through my head.
As I sit down to write this I am shattered. I am broken. My arms refuse to lift from the desk. My throat aches. My mind blurs. My concentration. Gone.
Am I surprised? Not at all. I’m quietly happy. It happens every year after all. It is the aftermath of The Falls Festival in Marion Bay Tasmania. For those who don’t know, before I became a photographer my life revolved around the organisation of events, mostly music festival’s. This year I ventured back to my home, my friends, my family, my Falls Fest.
I have always been too crazy busy to photograph at the festival but this year was a little more chilled so I ventured out with both my mobile and my dslr camera’s. Below are the results.
My highlights of the year?
Dancing non stop to Hot Chip’s set, over and over and over and over.
Standing on stage being rained on with confetti from The Flaming Lips incredible stage show, deep in thought with a grin from ear to ear reliving my 2012.
Watching the huge amount of children living up the festival experience -a short series on this to come soon.
Main arena ad-lib acrobatics to the sweet sounds of Rodrigo y Gabriela.
Two lovers slow dancing to the sweet sounds of Coolio’s hell mother fucking yeah’s.
Old friend, best friends, new friends, festival friends. I love you all x
And of course, be safe with these crazy bushfires Tassie. Thinking of you all x
